Function:

 

  • Responsibilities may include commissioning, testing and troubleshooting multiple projects simultaneously. Graduate engineer or technical trade school graduate desired. Must be computer literate and proficient. Must be willing to work with and without direct supervision. Must have solid understanding of project scope control and the ability to read and interpret project plans and specifications. Must be process driven and extremely motivated. Must have a clear understanding of mechanical and electrical systems with a solid interest in building infrastructure electrical systems.
  • Under direct supervision, performs complete programming, commissioning, functional testing, emergency, maintenance, and installation coordination of Fire Alarm systems. Must be able to communicate using written correspondence and project/progress documentation. Provides technical support to other Service Specialists as needed.
  • Performing service and maintaining systems involving networks, system integration, open technologies, software based interfaces, HVAC controls, Fire /Security System, CCTV and other Facility/infrastructure management systems. Experience with systems that involve Advanced Solutions such as EBI, Tridium, Echelon products, Lonmark and other open technologies for Building automation/integration solutions a plus. Field experience with Fire Alarm systems such as Edwards, Notifier, or Silent Knight is desired. Assist sales rep with customer requirements, meetings with customer and evaluating customer site specifics. Coordinate and supervise installation with electrical contractors.
Profile:
  • Two or four year Technical/Engineering degree.
  • Strong knowledge of Fire, HVAC & Security systems.
  • Understanding of basic electronics and trouble shooting.
  • NICET certification a plus.
  • Five plus years of related working experience.
  • State fire license required.
  • Knowledge of control systems and principles.
  • Knowledge of CCTV (Digital Video Manager) and Security (Access Control and Asset Locator).
  • Knowledge of PC's and software.
  • Strong organizational and management skills, must be a self-motivator.
